stuck throttle on a suzuki ltz 400 sport?

I have a 2007 suzuki LTZ 400 sport the problem i am having is it acts like the throttle is stuck about half way open. I checked the cable it is good the idle screw wont adjust anything at all. this happened while riding i have no idea what to check next.
 
Take the carb off the engine with cable attached,look in the carb while working the throttle and see if the slide is working correctly.
