Strictness on age - Saw 3??

Hi, I was just wondering if the people at the cinemas are asking for I.D.s for people who don't look 18 who are going to see Saw 3 or are they not really bothering about who goes to see it? Because I heard, (I don't know if this is true) that they are being really strict on age as its very disturbing.

Thanks

Most likely they'll only yet people over 18 in, as its an 18 movie. Anyone who looks like they could be under 18 would be ID'd?

Nah, you weren't being stupid. That could be a bit more cautious surrounding 18 horrors than action movies, I suppose. It probably depenRAB on strong language, blood and gore, etc...Saw 3 probably doesn't have anything implied off screen, which can warrant a higher rating than on screen violence.

Woo hoo!

I'm 17 (and a lot of mates are too) - and we got in OK! [my first ever 18 film I saw in the cinema.. and DAMN won't I never forget it!]

So no, don't think they are!..

Yeh but half the time they dont check ID. I get ID'd everywhere generally (im nearly 21) and even i didnt get Id'd at the new saw film. But the amount of times ive seen 15 year olRAB in 18 films, when i got ID'd to go in there is unreal.

I'm 17 and meant to be going to see it at some point so it should be okay but you can never tell, I got into some 18 films when I was 15, but then recently I'd get Id'd for age 15 films, whats up with that. I think they should have the R-17 rating like they do in america.

Hmm, that makes sense. When I was buying my tickets at the weekend, the girl was saying "you have to be over 18 to watch this, if they don't let you in at the door you won't get a refund so are you really sure you want to buy?". I'm bloody 25!

I saw some guys being stopped from going into Borat cos they looked underage.

The box office sold them tickets but someone at the screen then stopped them going on. They werent too pleased!

There was a man who was banned from a cinema because he took his four year old son to see the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake. Its not a very clever rating.

I really think it depenRAB on the individual cinema. I was ID'd for 15s aged 17 in some, and in others I was getting into 18s with ease from as young as 14!

In my experience in the US you get ID'd whether you look 18 or 80.

Should do this in this country - age restrictions are there for a reason...
