Hi all,
im new to this and so not entirely sure where to post. I am looking for anyone who has suffered a stress fracture in the femur before, mine is towards the top of the bone on the inner left leg. It wasnt diagnosed for about 3 months after it happened so i never went on crutches. It is now 6 months on and although i can perhaps walk slowly pain free, and do a few one-legged squats pain free, feel like i should have progressed further than this. I am an avid walker and 6 months without walking is really doing my head in. Has anyone else suffered this injury before? i am looking for others to share their experiences, i just dont know how long this thing is likely to last. Whether i should start with small amounts of walking now or, because i still feel i slight twinge when i walk, should i go on crutches till the twinge is completely gone and i can do normal walking about the house, bending and standing up completely pain free. Or is this twinge i feel just the muscle, especially the adductor which is really tight, and therefore start on an exercise program? any help, advice, information from people who have gone through this before would be greatly appreciated.
thanks
