Streetfighter is coming...

i think that this bike is cool.. i like that it's different looking..i'm also glad it will attract different people than the monster... i'm not a fan of the monster.. but this will look nice in my garage next to my '97 900 SS...

for me... the thing about Ducati has been the sculptures... the beautiful bodywork.. when i heard they were doing a "naked".. oh no.. but it comes to the other part i've always loved about Ducati.. the motor... seen here in all it's glory... and finally with some aggression.. what i always thought the monster lacked.. attitude... just my $.02...

no don't get me wrong id get this bike way over a monster 1100... i guess that was my point is it not going to cannibalize monster 1100 sales?

id love to know how this would do on the track

no.. i got you... i just think that ducati is doing something that not many other bike makers are doing... their range is getting really wide... with most japanese brands.. if you want performance... they have "a" sportbike or two... maybe a standard... cruiser. and the sportbikes look alike per brand.... (gsxr 1000, 750, 600)... if you don't like the look.. you won't buy a suzuki...

but with Ducati.. there's a large variety.. the difference between the multi, monster, hyper, fighter, 1098, 1198, the ST's, the SS's... is big... and they all have an individual look... you're bound to find what you like... i love it...

i think the target audience is simple...

the 1098 and the new 1198 have the power to put the monsters and motard to shame... does everyone need that power?... no.. but some would like it.. and i'm one of them... problem?... like me.. we can't ride those bikes for the amount of miles that i would like to ride.. i do 4-500 mile days on my 900SS easy.. but on a 1098,1198?.. forget it.

but the 1098's motor is awesome..i rode a 1098 and LOVED that motor.. i would love to ride that motor all day long.. a nice alternative to my 900 at times.. if they just made a bike with that awesome motor that i could ride for 500 miles.. you know... with an upright seating position.. that would be spot on for me... well... look at how straight his back is while reaching the bars...
