Streetfighter is coming...

I agree. I'm also a big fan of the naked/streetfighter bikes and this thing looks great.

Looks like I'll need to sell my soul for another bike!

I agree with La Ross on the fact that either you like naked bikes or you don't. I definitely do like naked bikes, and this street fighter looks like it means business. I think it looks wonderful. I'll be excited to see more photos of the bike, especially in real world application to get a better feel for it esthetically, but boy does it have my attention.

How about the 2009 Troy Bayliss attention? I know someone in this forum suggested whether or not this type of bike would be available. Well it looks to be so. What I don't understand is why they are still tagging it as a 1098R. Right now they list there 2009 models as the following:

1198, 1198s and 1098R Despite the 1098R as stated in this forum to have a 1198 engine. you'd think since now the base and S model have 1198 tag, that the 1098R model would as well. I'd take it the 1098R owners win big in this upgrade year and I'm sure the 1098R has some upgrades but when compared to the spec sheet, they mention no upgrades to the 2009 1098R.

I have the press released in PDF.

I'm not a real fan of naked bikes, but appreciate their utility and increased comfort. Having a naked bike capable of speeds exceeding 100 MPH is silly to me, because it is like sitting in a hurricane. The new Streetfighter is very nice looking in my opinion.

Ducati, for a small company, seems to be "getting it right" a lot lately. Cudos for bucking the current naked bike styling trends which lean toward cubistic, insectoid, transformers inspired monstrosities which are just plain ugly to my eye. For examples, the current naked bike offerings from Buel (1125CR), Suzuki (B-King), BMW (K1300R), et al.

Interesting... Not really a fan of Street Fighters in general but this looks ok. I would rather something like the Monster though... I like my bikes with fairings on thank you. =] Stil... This thing has Ducat class written all over it! Not Bad.

And a V-twin with 155Hp that will be increased as soon as that baby will show up in my garage, looks like will be a fun time in May/June this coming year.
