Street Glide with lower fairings

I had them on my '07 SG, I loved the way they make the bike look even lower. They really seem to bring the bike down farther visually, I thought mine reminded me of a lowered '59 Merc.

I think the look flows with the rest of the bike, they look good. I don't have them but wouldn't take them off if I did (in colder weather at least).

They make the bike look low and fat. I think they look great, and they eliminated all of the buffeting. I never take them off, even in 100+ degree weather.

Everyone has their opinion. But we all need to remember the street glide came about because the 04 and 05 SE electra glide was such a hit. both of them had lowers and still to date those maybe the best looking SE's ever then again the 09 SE roadie was amazing and the 2011 SE Street glide is great.

I have lowers for my 2009 SG with the quick detach kit. I take them off from time to time just to have a different look--like when I put my C&C Solo seat on, and want a sleeker look. I definitely put them on when I'm going on longer/overnight rides. It's harder to keep your foot on the footboards at 75 mph without the lowers. But I have a question for all of you: I too have been thinking about adding speakers to the lowers. For those of you that know, where do the wires go? Should I assume that if I add speakers to the lowers I won't be able take them off any longer?
