Strapping a dirt bike to a trailer?

I have a 2002 yz250 (not that it matters) and I was wanting to know how to strap it down. Last time I rented a uhaul and did an X on the handle bars then just strapped down the back of the frame/back tire and it fell over. I have good straps (I can pull a car without them coming undone/lose) but just not a good method of holding it I guess? Any help?

always just ran the same side don't know what the >< is for.tie the strap ends is all i can think.so there is no slip.

you need ratcheting straps and the best way is one on each side of the bars so they fight each other holding the bike straight be sure to get the shocks to compress some that way its tight and wont move then throw one over the back seat to keep it planted that should do it
