Strange vibes at Ducati dealer

A New Leaf

Thats a great advise and things have been communicated already on the subject. It is just that these disrespectful things have been taking place right under his nose. He can control his buddies just as much as he can control any other. There is time and place to "fight", as it were and then there is time to just walk away because one must follow one's instincts. I am truly disappointed not because of "money" but because of the disrespect that has been delivered upon me as a customer.

To be sure, I am not "that worried" as you put it, I walked in with thousands of dollars and intentions to join a community of sportsmanship. And YES, these bullies are there 24/7 as you put it. They live there. I tried to be as friendly as I possibly could but apparently not good enough. The scene is totally opposite at the other dealership that is not Ducati.

Hi...i think i am going to have to do this if i must avoid blatant disrespect, no mincing of words here. The funny thing is that my mom always advised me to never burn bridges and i'm just about to burn one just because of disrespect and nothing else. It even hurts me from inside to say this but you know what, the other dealership respects me so much that i dine and wine with them! Literally. My other bikes are from them. They also have the best mechanics you can find and they all have good will for their customers. I still cannot understand how this one man, a good mechanic, cannot rid himself of trash he is surrounded with.

No offence or disrespect but you need to toughen the fuck up so his mates "joke" around with you big deal it's not like you live there or he's your neighbour who cares in this mean old world we live in that life his a mechanic not a brain surgeon (no disrespect to mechanics)

+100 Trillion

I will agree with wilson, but still, that's not professional at all! Keep it movin' to a new dealership. Period.

I would at least tell the owner your reasons for leaving. Tie up any loose ends or services, and also, so you don't build any bad blood. If he is professional, he will accept it. If not, fuck 'em.

Regardless, he will realize that he is losing a good customer, which might make him think twice on how his "friends" are acting.

I hope everything works out for you.

...maybe the guy is a one man outfit because of his 'friends' !!!,and many others have walked away before you for the same reason/s.take your bike to the other dealer, they will still be able to source parts etc. anyway.i have used the local yamaha dealer for tyres, oil, gear and even orderring in race stands etc[mainly due to distance to the not so local duc. dealer].

To you and Ozducati, thanks for the advise...first of, no offense taken at all...the thing is that there comes a point in life when one says to himself that enough is enough, namely avoid conflicts at all...don't tell me some of you tuff guys you don't ever hurt...you hurt even more, i know this quite well...practically speaking, i've got nothing to lose except losers because i can get my bike taken care of at a friendly place that greets me rather well...i have three Japanese bikes from them, this fact is not tolerated by the Ducati guy and his buddies at all, he calls me a "traitor"...i have no inclination to "toughen up", as it were...life is too short for such things for me...

By now, i am firming up my decision but will execute it after 48 hours, cooling time for me...yes Oz, it is a "no brainer" as you put it but in actual life, nothing is really a no brainer without a certain price, a personal price, as it were...actually, i have a good dear friend who works at the Ducati place and he knows what is going on, this place is very small...if i wrote more, it would be hard not to ID the shop! Like i've said before, the dealer is not the problem, only the riff-raff...i'm NOT a part of their community and i don't live anywhere near them so i'm a traitor by rights.
