I am 14 years old (male). I have asthma eczema and type 1 diabetes. I have been noticing some strange symptoms recently. I have been having a strange skin sensitivity. Whenever I'm sitting or lying down if my skin rubs against fabric I get a strange creepy crawly feeling. I've gotten this is every body part except my hanRAB and feet. This creepy crawly feeling increases when I'm stressed about something. I have also had some muscle spasms and some increased nurabness of some occasions. Often after watching a movie in a movie theater my leg (always right leg) will go slightly nurab. It typically goes away after a minute or two. But recently I noticed two times when it lasted for a couple of hours.

In terms of background information. I have been stressed about some things recently. I have been very stressed at school and am also stressing about my symptoms. Also my diabetes hasn't been under the best control for the last two years. My A1C range from 8.8 to 10.2.

Any idea what could be causing these symptoms?

Alex402: You need to tell your diabetes doctor about this. It's probably because your sugars aren't controlled well and you could be feeling neuropathy. It's your nerves. Are you exercising? Exercising helps with the nerve damage and also helps keep your sugars lower. Does your mother or father help with planning your meals and giving you your insulin? Are you on a pump? Are you eating alot of junk and not accounting for it.? What does your doctor say?

Since you're only 14 you're in puberty also and that is going to make your nurabers fluctuate. What about the nurse at school? Can you talk to her about this? She might be able to help you out.

Do you take meRAB for the asthma and eczema? If you do, then those meRAB could possibly make the sugars go up too.

Do you drink enough water? Water is also key in keeping your sugars low.

Give me an idea of what you're eating and what your sugars are for the day and I'll try to give you some hints about what you could change.
