I know the ultimate advice is, "Go to the doctor" but I wanted to get some feedback first, if any of you have any.

I'm 59, had a heart attack a few years ago, but am in otherwise OK health. I'm thin, and had bloodwork done about 6 months ago that was OK.

I sit a lot in front of a computer, and get little exercise.

So, about two months ago I started noticing a dull ache in the back of my left leg. It's very vague, it's hard even if I rub it to zero in on exactly where it is, but it's in the area behind your knee, maybe slightly higher. I can't feel any knots, or bumps, and I haven't done any strenuous activity where I could have strained it. It sometimes feels a bit worse if I bend my knee all the way. It feels like taut rubber band a bit when I do completely bend it. Pain is very dull, and not very intense.

I wouldn't have given it much thought if it weren't for the fact that it isn't going away apparently. So naturally I worry about everything from cancer to a tumor to some kind of blood clot or you know the drill, anything and everything.

I don't really have a regular doctor, so I'm faced with going to an emergency room for hours. In fact I don't even know what kind of doctor you would seek out for advice on something like this.

Anyone have an thoughts on this?

Thanks
Tom
