Strange green flash that lit up the whole sky?

This morning I was outside at around 6.00am and a huge green flash lit up the whole sky, it looked like the light source was covered by the shed. I am so confused about What the hell it could of been, I've spent sometime looking on google and thought it might of been something to do with the sunrising but the flash in the pictures for that are only a tiny green spot in the sky, whatever I saw lit up the whole sky. It actually slightly scared me. Any ideas?
I live in Australia.
 
i was outside last night at around 2am and saw the same thing. the entire sky flashed green and then went back to normal, as if someone turn on a light switch and turned it off again. it happened three times in a row and i have no idea what it could have been.
 
this happened to me also

this actually happend to me around 1998 or so. i was in a ranch in mexico and it was like 11pm and out of nowhere i seemed somone just turned on a light it was wiered it looked like daylight and then just went dark again. the ranch i was in was close to the border town of brownsville texas. i had no idea what it was. later that week i was talking with my cousin and she had seen it also that same day at the same time and them another relative from another state in mexico had seen it also that same night. what could it be.
