hellllllloooo, I have a 50 gallon planted tropical community tank up and running for around a year, i recently had some trouble with my pair of pearl gouramis, when the female became very aggressive towards the male, and many other fish in my tank ( i know, its the first aggressive female fish i have had aswell lol). i know i now have a remaining male because of the very golden colour breast and longer dorsal fin. anyway i removed the female and took her back to the fish shop, and while i was there got a adult male sailfin molly to add to my tank, i got home added the molly, and he stayed by himself for about a week but now he seems to have MADE FRIENDS with the male pearl gourami, im totally stunned as i watch a male gourami and a male molly (2 quite Territorial species) swimming around together happily, no aggression what so ever, i have kept fish for a long time and have never seem behavior like this, they are always togged, the male pearl wouldn't let any other fish near its food or when it found an Alge wafer to call his own, but now he will sit and share his diinner with his new friend, no body else, they all get chased away as usual. as i said im stunned as im sitting here watching 2 different species swimming around happily, and just wondered if any one else has ever observed similar behavior to this before?
many thanks
