Strange condition of my brother

Hello everyone. I am in search of answers for my brother. He's 24 years old and experiencing severe abdominal cramping, uncontrollable vomiting and diahrea, weight loss (and he has no weight to loose! he's literally skin and bone). He has no control over when the episodes will occur or what triggers them but has been experiencing this for almost 2 years. When he does throw up, it's food he ate the day before still entact. He's been to several different doctors and they all keep telling him it's nothing to be alarmed about. He's in the hospital atleast once a week over it. He becomes very pale when the episodes occur and shakes almost like he's convulting. He's nearly unresponsive. In recent hospital visits it's taken morphine to finally get the pain to stop. I believe with all my heart that whatever is going on with him, will kill him if somebody doesn't figure out what is going on. He's always been suseptable to illness since a child but this is by far nothing he's ever experienced. In the past year of it, it has gotten so bad he cannot function on a normal daily basis. If anyone has any idea or can relate to what is going on with him PLEASE contact me!!! I'm desperate for answers for him! Thank you!

He needs to see a gastro doctor and have some tests done. The 1st would be an endoscopy. It could be a hundred things wrong but don't take stomach pain lightly. It usually means something is wrong and if he hasn't gotten any better, maybe a stop at the ER. It could something as simple as an ulcer. I have attacks something like you are speaking about and now I am being tested for numerous diseases.
He gets weak probably from low blood pressure from these attacks as I do. When these attacks happen to me, my family needs to call an ambulance because I am so weak and fainting. Has he had blood work done? Is anything elevated? Could be he has slow stomach emptying, gastroparsis (sp) Good Luck

Yes, what has he been tested for, and what has been ruled out?
What other diagnoses/health issues has he had, even if they seem unrelated?
Has he been tested for celiac disease?

If he's had all the normal tests, and they come out fine, it sounds like it may be an allergy to certain foods. Suseptability to illness since he was a child sounds very familiar to people that have this problem. Gluten is in numerous foods and can cause a person to get very ill and can be hard to diagnose, lactose intolerance is another one of just many items he may be allergic to, especially since he is not digesting them. If this is the cause, the person many times is also allergic to other things in the environment, chemical sprays, such as crop sprays, mold that comes up from the ground in the spring etc. You may want to check into this as a possibility. I hope you find help for your brother.

p My 5 month old daughter has CF and she just tested positive for some bacteria, they are enterobacter cloacae and acinetobacter lwoffii. I read a post of yours from a couple years ago about your child having enterobacter cloacae. What medication did the doctor put your child on? Did it go away easily or at all? Thanks for your help. Brandi

Has he been tested for gallbladder or pancreatic issues? Reflux?...

Some of the symptoms sound similar to those of DS last year and the year prior. He had a bowel obstruction. Granted he has cystic fibrosis and pancreatic insuffiency, but he'd eat and several hours later be doubled over in pain, would vomit and then be perfectly fine.
