Straight pipe on my chevy?

1991 chevy silverado with just a glasspack on it now. what if i take it off and just run straight pipe? will it damage anything? i know its illegal and i cant pass admissions. im just worried about burning out valves or something
 
No it will not hurt anything and it is possible for it to pass emissions with out mufflers as long as you still have the catalytic converter on it and as long as the exhaust exits out the side or rear of the truck, flush with the body. I did it on my 1997 GMC Sierra.
