Stopping Prednisolone after a singlr 60mg dose

Have had wheeze and cough for 15 days. Doctor finally prescribed Prednisolone (3 tablets 20 mg for 3 days, 2 tablets 20 mg for 3 days, 1 tablet 20 mg for 3 days) all to be taken in one shot in the morning. I took my first 60mg today ealy afternoon without checking the medicine out. Now, I do not want to continue taking it. Am I going to suffer withrwaral sysmtoms even though I only took this big dose once? Please answer I am terrified.

BTW, I'm 40, male, generally good health
 
My first question is: why don't you wan to continue taking the medication? Prednisolone is very safe for short-term use (it has been around since the mid 1960s) and you've obviously got some kind of respiratory issue going on.

It's extremely unlikely that you'll suffer withdrawal symptoms after just one dose but you should really talk to your doctor about your concerns (and the potential problems you'll encounter by NOT taking the medication) before you decide to stop taking it on your own.
 
I don't like taking prednisone either but I like living too. Prednisone is a nasty drug but with asthmacis we need it to clear up the congestion. Don't wanta scare you ...but you do realize that people die from asthmaick attacks.
