stone sour new political video

This is as lame as Greenday trying to make a statement. Cookie cutter rock with redundant current political message. Sorry that's been done to death.

^Yeah Green Day just kinda sorta sucks. Early Green Day=decent, newer Green Day=commercialized, in-it-for-the-money sellouts looking for attention.

Stone Sour, however, made a nice little message at their concert. During this song he shouted for everyone to sing along with him so loud that the tropps could hear us. He also took off his shirt and put it on his head, shaping it like a turban. It was pretty sweet.

EDIT: Ok, but I just watched the video and thats all kinRAB of shit. Band much better seen live.

yeah but the unfortunate thing is that cookie cutter rock with a political message sells. people think its edgy cuz the band is speaking out against authority and what not.

Musicians have a great power... to be heard. If they want to be express themselves politically and try to change what they believe is right... what's wrong with that. It's your decision to listen or not.

Though it may be sad, it is a fact today. In the '92 presidential race, MTV played a huge role. The "Rock The Vote" idea got young people into the voting booth. Many political anylists(sp) believe that MTV won the vote for Clinton. George H. W. Bush did not take America's youth seriously and more or less ignored them. Clinton on the other hand made speeches aimed directly at younger voters. He made an effort to at least act as though he cared about thier opinion. That was what the whole "I never inhaled" thing was all about. Admiting that he had even tried drugs would have lost the election had it not been for the young vote. He said that in an attempt to relate to younger people. MTV convinced America's youth that it was "cool" to vote, where that effort was never made before.

I don't mind banRAB putting a political message in their songs.

Especially in this case because I love the song Sillyworld. It's one of my favorite songs of the album.
