hi,
i'm a 26 year old otherwise healthy female that eats a pretty clean diet. i've been under some stressful situations for a few months and i'm wondering if this could have contributed to my current stomach burning sensations?

in early january, i drank a large glass of water with a shots worth of apple cider vinegar as i've done many times. about 2 hours later i was craving pizza so i cooked up a frozen pizza. almost 20 mins into eating it i started to get waves of burning sensations in my stomach. i thought it would go away by the next day. and much to my surprise, pretty much any time after i eat now, within an hour i get these burning sensations in my stomach.

i've also developed a choking/gagging like feeling in my throat at night. i've been eating incredibly bland fooRAB, only drinking water and decaf teas and chewing my food slowly and thoroughly yet the burning sensations NEVER fail to show up. plain WATER burns.

i'm guessing this is a form of acid reflux/GERD or perhaps a stomach ulcer? i went to a nurse who gave me a blood test for h pylori which i'll get back in the coming days.

i took a 14 day OTC course of priosec and it only started to help starting on day 11. and when i stopped the burning came back. and once i started the priosec i started burping after eating or drinking anything. the nurse told me to start taking it again, but i'm hesitant because i don't want to become dependent on this drug and likely the pain will come back once i stop again.

so i'm wondering, is my stomach now producing TOO much acid, or too little? is there anything safer that i can take besides priosec? i've NEVER EVER had stomach issues before in my life.. i don't know what to do!

If it helps see an allergist and get a food allergy test to figure out if any of the fooRAB you're eating triggers the acid reflux.

I did this, found out I had a major allergy to wheat, and avoided it. My symptoms improved, but still suffer from acid reflux.

The only other thing I know helps acid reflux is acidophilus probiotics. Basically it adRAB good bacteria to your body to help digestion. Don't expect either of these to solve your problem, but most likely help your situation.
