Stolen Iphone..How worried should I be?

I had my Iphone stolen this weekend. I have a passcode on the phone and have taken the necessary steps to ensure that ATT has been notified and my service has been deactivated, and additionally, I change my passwords so that access would not be granted if they were to get into my phone. So really all they could access would be my applications, notes, calendar, and text messages/contacts. But they wouldn't be able to send any messages/calls out pretending to be me or anything.

Anyways, my question is, with these precautions, do you think I have much to be worried about regarding them "damaging my identity" or anything of the sort?

I've gotten mixed answers from ATT customer service regarding the access of my information as well, the majority of the reps have said that if I have a passcode that secures it a bit more, b/c after 10 failed attempts to get in, it erases the phones memory back to factory settings.

Also they said that if the person who stole it takes the sim card out, they can't do much with it, because the card/number is still tied into my account, and when I reactivate my new sim card with the same number it will deactivate the old one. I don't know much about SIM cards however, so what does that mean? Will the deactivation of the old SIM card erase everything off of it? Or just deem it unusable?

Thanks, and sorry for all the questions scattered throughout.
