stolen cell phone

so my droid incredible was stolen earlier this week. i didnt have insurance on it. dumb i know.

my question is it possible to put insurance on it over the phone from like say my house phone then report my cell stolen a week later?
 
I think it is possible to get insurance in some form or fashion. It is most certainly insurance fraud and illegal. I don't know state by state but I suspect insurance fraud carries a bigger penalty than stealing a cell phone.

If you paid with a credit card you might be able to get coverage given the short time you owned the phone. Verizon might be able to help you recover the phone.

I believe in Karma, what comes around goes around.....that doesn't mean someone steals from you, you steal from someone else. Do what is right and good things will happen.

Regardless of what you do, you need to report your stolen Droid to Verizon immediately (if you haven't already), because any fees incurred by the thief will still be your responsibility! Hopefully you have already reported this.
 
Dont do that. that is insurance fraud not worth the risk. Report the phone as stolen. It will not be able to be activated by the theif. Maybe post a reward and you might get lucky.
