Stolen after UPS delivery

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~i always understood that UPS express is signature required and UPS ground is not. Luckily I've never had any shipping issues like that to deal with.

Odd the Tmo rep asked you to conduct insurance fraud. Sign up for insurance after the fact and then pay the deductible.

A happened to friend and he was very persistent and Tmo and UPS worked it out after a week.

I've received various packages over the years of different size and value. Some are left w/o a signature slip and some required a direct signature/human receipt. It more than likely does depend on the driver, area and circumstances surrounding the delivery. I also do believe that the shipper has aomething to do with the signature requirement. I'd check with TMO to see if they require all their shipments to be signed for! Also, doesn't UPS keep an electronic file of all items that are signed for upon delivery? I'm nearly 100% positive that you should be able to get an electronic copy of said signature E-mailed to you...that is if it was signed for in the first place!!!

It was delivered to my door without a signature according to the online tracking info. One possibility was a thief saw an UPS truck and was able to sneak over a side wall. I reside in a townhouse.

Many thanks for your suggestions, some thru privacy. I'll keep you posted of resolution.

Every package that gets delivered to us here by UPS has a signature on it whether it be ground, express, or next day air. If we aren't here, he takes it next door to get someone else to sign for it. I agree with everyone else on this one. I would go after UPS for not getting the package signed before delivery.

I just got a UPS delivery acouple of minutes ago. I was home. Driver knocked on the door, dropped off the package, and walked off. I even opened the door and yelled "thank you" in his direction and it did not even faze him.

I believe UPS may be like the USPS priority or Next day service where the sender specifies whether or not a signature is required for delivery. There is a place on the form to be checked off if you want the recipient to sign for delivery. Check the paper work on the package to see if there is a field for this.

Hope this helps.

After bouncing around, T-Mobile research team will investigate within 72 hours and then notify me. A requested police report is unnecessary. I noticed filing a UPS claim limited to three categories: lost package, damaged package, uncollected COD payment.

I agree with most of you. UPS has delivered a dew replacements and new phones to my door. I have NEVER had to sign for any of my phones. The driver SIMPLY rings the door bell and leaves the packet on the floor. NO SIGNATURE NEEDED.When i opened my door i found my D Wade sidekick under my doormat.... I believe that this is TMOBILES fault..because they should make sure that EVERY PHONE delivered should be signed off by someone. I had send my laptop off to get fixed..and when igot it back i had to sign for it. It is deff tmobiles fault.

The way UPS told me once is it's the drivers discretion whether to leave a package at someones door or not. If the driver knows theft isn't prevelant in your area then most likely they will leave it. UPS, DHL, etc. all leave packages at my front door without signatures unless i happen to be there of course. my front door is somewhat hidden by landscaping so unless you walk up to my door you won't see anything sitting there.

good luck getting this fixed!! I have a complaint for thiefs and our, as a consumer/customer, recourse of stolen phones.

Resolved. I got another replacement yesterday. This time it didn't get better except I was lucky to find it by my door. I wasn't notified of anything including tracking number. My requests for a different shipping address and a required signature weren't honored. Next time, make such requests for precaution before the phone exchange gets started.
