Didn't see a thread for this. The first episode aired in Canada on Teletoon today.

So, yeah, discuss it and whatnot, while us Americans read with envy. :p

Actually two episodes aired tonight. You might want to change the title.
I'll probably watch the episodes on Teletoon.com later tonight/tomorrow. :)

I'll put it in spoiler box, just in case.

I saw the second episode in that certain video site (apperantly, the first episode lost feed for the first 5 minutes, so, we might have to wait a bit for that one), I was surprised by the aumount of drama it had, but I actually thought it was a bit of a good idea to get some character development.

But, alas, it would've been better if I've seen the first episode, but for now, that was the best I could do.

And no, there weren't any credits, unfortunatly. I'm really kinda desperate to see the cast.

The first episode was called "Welcome to Paradise Dudes" and the second was called "Another Grom Bites the Dust", both of which are very fitting considering what happens in those episodes. Anyway I'll talk about my thoughts on the show later.

Okay, I was able to see the credits, and the cast is big:

Katie Crown (YES! The rumors were true! :D)
Emilie-Claire Barlow (Man, she's being appearing a lot again recently)
Taylor Barber
Stacey Depass
Sergio Di Zio
Cory Doran (I was kinda surprised to see him in the cast)
Mazin Elsadig
Kristin Fairlie (Wow, what a shocker.)
Darren Frost
Jeff Geddis
Bill Lake
Lauren Lipson
Rachel Marcus
Terry McGurrin
Jamie Watson
Gage Munroe
Anastasia Phillips
Arnold Pinnock
Bailey Pleskina
Fiona Reid
Tyrone Savage
Jamie Spilchuk

The ones I putted on bold are VA's that I know, so, wow, nice difference in casting.

I can tell Katie Crown voices Fin.. But who plays who?

"Taylor Barber" must play a younger character, since she's apparently about 12 or so.

Hi just caught the Sat repeats and wow:D the animation is fantastic!!!! the water effects are so amazing (and they better in a show centered around surfers), it just goes to show that people can do great things with flash, plus the show's plot is great if a little formulaic it's like the Save by the bell summer series only cooler and with the same heart as 6teen. But again first and foremost is the animation which with this show I think puts Canada in the lead of finding really cool ways to use flash animation.

Animation quality is exceptional. The rest of the package... not so much. There's plenty of potential to grow but I found the dialogue a little lacking compared with the 6Teen/Total Drama pedigree.

There's very little here that hasn't been done before in non-animated fare like 90210/The OC/Dawson's Creek. Plus they recycled the "spoiled girl gets her credit cards taken away, has to work for a living and joins the main cast" premise with Lo that they've previously used with Caitlin.

That being said, this should prove to be a nice fit as a seasonal show for the summer. There's certainly worse stuff out there.

Now I hardly thinks Lo is the new Caitlin, yes their plot-lines are alike but in 6teen Caitlin was laid out as a dumb blond megashopper where Lo seems to be just a sheltered young girl who's had a hotel and it's staff at her beck and call all her life. The thing about 6teen and TDI/TDA is that all their characters played up known stereotypes where as here you still have sterotypes but their not as blantedly showed off here since alot of the cast is mostly part of the surfing culture (some more then others).

Although I really feel for the whale guy; that is a running joke if ever I did see one:sweat:

Because its not actually 'Flash' the software but another computer assisted animation software. Forgot the name but its not actually the one used for crappy web animation.

Still pretty well done I admit. Maybe its a new release of the software...

I know it's not "flash" flash, but compared to other shows that use flash type animation (Johny Test and the like) Stoked is the next step with the software.
