I own a 97 Chevy z71, I'm wonder what the stock suspension is for those? I want a lift, but I don't know what. Any suggestions?

I'm not quite sure what exactly you want to know?
Your stock suspension basically is a solid rear axle with leaf springs and the front is an IFS setup.

As far as lift kit options....you can either do a suspension lift or body lift.

When it comes to prices, you will find quite a difference. The body lift is cheap. but also isnt a great way to lift your rig. On your chevy your frame hangs down below the body in between the wheels. So with a body lift it looks like crap. Also the body lift doesnt do anything but lift the body. So you have no added clearance or anything.

A suspension lift is the way to go if you can afford it. I would say a 4in would make it look good and you dont have to really modify anything. anything larger you have driveline mods and such.

I've attached a link that shows prices below
