Still waiting!!!!!!

Its been 6 weeks now since my biopsy! rang two weeks ago and secretary said consultant would soon be in touch, so rang again yesterday because its been two weeks and now she tells me hes been away on holiday!! how much longer do I have to wait!
 
Are you in the US? I was wondering if you are in a country with socialized medicine and there is a terrible backlog at the lab.

I had the results of my stomach biopsies within the week of my endoscopy. The nurse called me and gave me the results over the telephone since the results were all benign.

I can't imagine waiting for six weeks and I am sure you are very frustrated.
 
I forgot to mention that, at least in the US, unless you have a totally incompetent doctor with a chaotic office or they have lost your test results, the wait is typically a good sign. That is, some pathologist typically looks at the slides quickly and screens out those with the malignant or suspicious results. Those folks are called right away and the rest simply wait. But six weeks is ridiculous. I concur with you.
