Hi again...

still having sync issues

I did disable all firewall and antivirus software and tried a reinstall but it's still not completely syncing and finishing correctly.....

still need XP PRO to automatically FIND MY DRIVERS when I hookup to the usb port on my laptop (its a PC ...btw). The deal is that I plug it in (the PALM T5 to the laptop ) and then push the hotsync button. I can see the hotsync icon RUNNING on my PC but the PC says that it detects a NEW HARDWARE and it searches for my PALM drivers... which are my HOTSYNC things... then it finds it and the sync just starts up from there..... WHY DOES IT DO THIS.....

worse off....

then it does find it and works... sorta

... when finished syncing it says it cannot find the hslog20.dll

it's a weird error.

*also please reference my other posts from the past 24 hours*

Now yust incert your .prc or.pdb and other thimgs like music, docs to your internal card
Then use tealmover to copy them to ram... Instent Hotsync
To backup just use TealBack or something

Theye have a trial but if your days are close just acces (in teal mover) the saved prefrenced and delet the accociated pref to reset Trial :) sneeky

to change your Hotsync name theres a App called PM Name which you can change on palm...

hope this helps...

Search your hard drive for the HSLOG20.dll file...it should located in the main directory as follows:

C:\program files\palmone

If it's not there - then something is preventing it from loading during the install.

PM me with your email address and I'll send you the file so you can load it and see if that helps fix the problem.

I don't appreciate "getting around trial period cutoffs" and advising how to try is against forum rules.

If you can afford a T5 you can afford $11 for TealMover.

I suggest you amend your post. TealPoint is the only company in creation that's worked worth a damn toward making all you "T5 people" happy . . . and at considerable programming expense.

Cheat somewhere else. It's a valuable tool and also an inexpensive one.

Suga;

Do a complete uninstall of PalmDesktop form your computer. Go as far as going into your registry and deleting anything that says palmOne. Also, if you have any programs that have conduits with your T5/TE, uninstall those too.

Then go back and install PalmDesktop. Make sure that you DO NOT have a folder in the palmOne directory that has your user name (we want to create a fresh one). Sync. That should give you a fresh backup.

If you are still getting that error, it is on the side of palmOne and I would suggest emailing their tech support. There was at one time issues with palm desktop and WinXP Pro; i dont see any issues on my work computer so they may be solved.

Hope that helps. Sorry your experience isnt going well. It took me a few weeks to iron out all of my issues going from TE to T5. Hopefully, you can get urs done in a few days max.
