Hello, I had lurabar Dyn Fixation 5 months ago.
In addition to my regular pain, I am now dealing w/ stiffness - Can this be still a post-op thing, 5 months later??
I was never stiff. The middle of the night - it felt better. Mornings were better, until I sat up - then the pain hit - but not this stiffness!
Muscle relaxers make me SICK, so those are out of the question.
Where I am stiff is the middle of the back - above the incision. I always had a 'pushing' sensation there after my injury, and dr after dr told me to ignore it - it was just muscles. Well, now the whole middle back is so stiff, I have to breathe consciously!! Breathe in...out...in...everything is on purpose now, I'm so tight.
The only way to get past this is to SWIM. However, the kiRAB are home this week, and I can't find a sitter. The Y will take my kiRAB, but I can't lift the one in and out of the car! It is ALWAYS something!!!!!!
So..is stiffness normal, 5 months post-op? I'm not living w/ this new problem for the rest of my life, am I ?????
(Yes, PT helps - the massages -- for about an hour!)
