stiff electric guitar strings?

The strings that I had are Ernie Balls super slinky, and 2 months later, they're really stiff for some odd reason, I took care of them/cleaning them, formed callus on my fingers, etc. I don't know what's going on, but im predicting that this cold weather is making them like this. Should I change them with the slinky titanium (Gauges: 09-11-16-24w-32-42) Since I heard that they are better than the regular kinds
