i took a pair of speakers from my old stereo and spliced them into a speaker cable then hooked that into an adapter which lead to the audio jack in my computer. they work, but the volume is ridiculously low. i know the speakers are capable of having a much stronger sound. the volume on my computer is boosted all the way up, too. the problem is the speakers themselves have no volume control. is there anything i can do to compensate for this?
