stem lock on a 1500LC

I have lost the key to the stem lock on my bike ,lock smith say bring it leave it we will see what we can do
I bought a new lock and key for the 2004 lc 1500.
but I need to have a good how too on reinstalling it ,it has no pin to knock out the only wat I see is to drill it out , but would like to have someone with knoledge on replacement , to help please , thanks in advance .ga turbo

Get a disk lock and forget about the stem lock. My understanding is that a stem can be easily broken by thieves. A disk lock cannot be broken. Just remember to remove it before riding!

Yeah, the stem lock is next to worthless. To replace it, you will have to drill out the old one.

had a lock smith to make me a key , $10.00
all was well but went ahead and put the new one in , only other way is to drill it out and then replace it , no messy brake locks on your disk
