I'm planning on doing a stem cell transplant soon and I have a few questions.
I know stem-cell transplant hurts your fertility but does it definitely kill all your eggs 100% or is there still a small percentage of people who can still get pregnant afterward?
I get my period regularly now but will I still get it after a stem cell transplant?
If I do the egg extraction, what happens? I searched the process but do they actually put something up you? Like in the way a pap smear is? I know everyone says that the egg extraction doesn't hurt but i've never had anything up there before so will it hurt when they stick something inside me?
Also if I do the egg extraction and freeze eggs does that mean when I want to have kids I just automatically have to do IUI or IVF? I'm guessing that is because they can't just give me my eggs back so when I want to have a baby I can never just be like hey hubby lets go try for a baby but instead I will have to just make a doctor appointment? That sucks!
Please read the questions carefully. Thanks!
