They will ticket you with stock pipes. They don't even look for stamp, its just a way for them to make money. You get no points on your driving record and they know you dont want to lose another days workk so most likley you will pay the fine.
 
No kidding? I've been tested and licensed to ride bikes in California, Colorado, North Carolina and Florida and each and every one of them requires parking at a 90 degree angle to the curb. I've assumed this is to increase visability of the bike to other people wanting to park. It's kind of annoying, frankly, because it would be easier to park parallel in many situations. Oh well.....hope I get to Newport on my bike someday....so I can park parallel.
 
I wouldn't be to happy being out there in Maryland either. A year ago, I was stopped on the South bound lane of Route 13 going down to Virginia Beach by a socall "trooper." Who, I politely apologized to for my speeding. He stated, "Why?" I just began to said that I got a little distracked by having a funning conversation with my Wife and we were laughing. So, he then said that, "I don't need a apology from you and went on say that he does not speed and nor does he get distracted when he is talking with his wife on the road." This is after, I showed him my badge. I don't mind a ticket if I brake the speeding laws. But, I have to agree with my wife that the guy was unproffesional to us and showed no respect for me at all. While he was still standing at my door My Wife in a load voice stated that he was a Dick! I completely had to agreed with her! The following week, I headed down again on my way to Myrtle Beach for Bike Week and I just so happen to stopped at the barracks because I really needed to speak with somebody there about his behavior and the fact that the ticket did not have an address for you to mail the money order to and I had only 15 days to pay the $165.00. It wasn't for a formal complaint, but a heads up on this guy. Here, I am thinking and wondering of how many other people is he doing this to. But to my surprise who do I fine there at the window but him and there is no one else there to speak with there. So, I began to speak comely to him fighting for patience.... This guy who I have no repsect for begins to argue with me and said that he doesn't know where you are to send the money to. I then told him, "How can you issue a speeding ticket if the public doe not know where to send the money." I can see that he is a Corparal in the State Police. So, I think to myself this guy is either very stupid or he is just F@*^% with me. I just told him, I want you to remember something don't ever go up to my neck of the woods up "North" because I will return the courtesy to you and I just left there more fustraded than anything else. It's funny when Law Enforcement gets together for gatherings or memorials how good we are to each other and how on the other hand at other moments they totally disregard you as an officer. Wow! It really blows my mind away.... But, I've learned over the years that there some who think that there are so perfect. But those are the same poeple who make the rest of us look so bad out here. Specially, when it's due to corruption.... Oh, how they like for the rest of the world to have sympathy for them when they fall.... That's why I don't blame anyone in the public for feeling the way they do when they tell their stories....
 
Wow, so every cop just walks around writing tickets to every bike even if It's completely stock & you have to pay the fine? LOL, I think you're blowing smoke up our ass, cause they can't make you pay a fine if you're running stock pipes.
 
Parts of PA are alright, at least as far in as York...



They can write the ticket. Then you go to court, get the ticket dismissed and only have to pay court costs. Court costs can be surprisingly high...
