I GOT SERVED A SUMMONS THAT WAS FILE WITH THE COURT OVER A YEAR AGO
it was filed in california in july 7 of 2009 and i was served on july 29,2010...it was for a rental house i moved out of.i moved out in mid 2005 but not sure of the date..the total amount of time has been 5 years since i moved out.i got a three day notice and was asked to leave and the house was rented out the next month but they want a whole years worth of rent.the statur of limitation in cali is for 4 year on file a suit against the clain but not sure if when if they filed the claim in time since i got served at the 5 year mark or if it was the day they filed it w the courts..i moved out of the house because there was an oral agreement that they would put up a safety fence around the pool when i moved in but was never done after maney request so i withheld rent and got a notice to move out so i did.
