I am planning to start my own small consulting company, primarily doing Microsoft office reporting and automation. I am also purchasing a new home in the next month or so. With that in mind, I'd like to select the best business entity for tax purposes. Along with consulting comes considerable legal risk.. so I probably also want to be reasonably well protected personally. Which business entity type should I choose?
