When I start my car with the A/C on the car stutters like a go-cart. But when I started the engine with the A/C off it starts up like normal and I have no problems. It did throw up a MIL code telling me that I have a random misfire. I reset it though and it hasn't come back yet. Any ideas as to why it starts up so rough when I have the air conditioning on?

you already found the problem. changing the code is not going to do anything. change your spark plugs and their wires.

Assuming the computer is functioning correctly to automatically increase your idle speed when you turn the A/C on, then you have an engine performance problem with a marginally good idle even when the A/C is off. It sounds like you may need some ignition tuneup work that is showing up as the misfire. However, you didn't mention whether the A/C is working normally at highway speeds. If not, then you may have a compressor problem developing. Note that engine misfires can also be caused by non- ignition related things like a vacuum leak or EGR problem etc.

I'd replace the spark plug wires if they're the original set of wires.

It's possible the belt driving the A/C compressor needs adjusting or replacement.
