Being as its the new year and stuff.. i really want to take up photography. I currently have a Kodak Easyshare M853. I know its not like a professional camera or anything, but i dont want to spend a lot of money on an expensive camera if it turns out i dont want to carry on with photography.
Do you think this camera could work for a few months or should i get a professional camera straight away?
and if possible could you please give me some tips on photography aswell (:

Thanks youuuu (:

Get to grips with the basic techniques with what you have. Look at things like framing a shot properly (maybe the 'rule of thirds') and capturing a good image. Deveop an eye for the type of photography you like. Then as you start to pick up the technical stuff (lots of reading!) you might start to find the limitations of your camera. This is when you might want to upgrade to a DSLR.

Sony do a brilliant 'starter' camera, the Alpha 200. Its a bargain and won loads of awards this year. I've seen it for as little as £270 in the UK. http://www.sony.co.uk/product/dss-digital-slr/dslr-a200k

you'll be fine.
you might as well start off with a cheap camera incase you decide you dont want to do photography anymore, then you'll have no need for an expensive camera and you'll regret buying one.
so see how you go with that one.
