Starting a window cleaning business?

Good old Yahoo Answer... great place to sum up more recent thoughts and at the same time get feedback and advice.

I just quit my current job, im 21 in great shape and just got my college diploma. I am going to start a window cleaning business doing commercial buildings. I plan on doing only single story business. I can think of a ton within 1km of me.

Should I spend the $250-300 to register my business before I have any clients?

I plan on basically buying all the supplies (brush, squeegee, buckets, soap, extension pole with squeegee, ladder) which will cost around 200 - 300. I have a car that I will use. I can fit a 6 foot ladder through the trunk and into the back seat. I then plan on having 100 business cards made up with my business name, my name and my info then going to the smaller stores in my area asking to speak to manager or owner and introducing myself (Wear suit and tie or window cleaning gear?) and my proposition for me to clean his windows and do a great job and under cut his current price.

It all seems pretty simple. I think the key to success here is determination and persistence as well as timeliness. I am most likely going to get a lot of "not interested" "someone already does a great job on the windows, sorry" "You have no experience, your a new business cant trust you" ect. ect. So I will have to be determined and persistent to get a solid client base (8 business's a relatively good base?). I will also have to make sure I do a fantastic work and keep to a schedule so business's know when to expect me and I show up on time.

What do you guys think?
