When I get a house in about a year I want to start my own at-home doggie daycare for the neighborhood and surrounding area. I'm planning on purchasing a house with a very large yard with privacy fence. I've been doing ALOT of research so I know all the permits, license, and insurance that I'll need to get. My questions are..... how long does it take to get things ready to open? How far in advance do I need to apply for permits? Also, how long should I expect it to take to really make revenue? What kinds of advertising beforehand are best? And any addition info or suggestions would be great =) Thanks.
Just fyi: I'm very experienced in working with animals. Been around them my whole life, worked on a farm every summer for years, worked in a groom shop for 3yrs, worked at a wild animal sanctuary.... so this is not an impulsive thing, I know what I'm getting into as far as the animals. I just really need information on starting a business since I don't really know anything except what I've been researching.
