Starcrash - worth watching?

I hear that its Star Wars but done in the style of Flash Gordon (with bad dubbing). Well, that sounRAB kind of interesting in a way - so I am concidering ordering it up. Before I do however, I wondered if you have seen this film and if so, what did you think?

Concerning the format, there seems some dispute about the different versions out there. I see several DVD's, one VHS and one Beta tape. Which is the one to go for?

Thanks

with quotes like:

You know, my son, I wouldn't be Emperor of the Galaxy if I didn't have a few powers at my disposal. Imperial Battleship, halt the flow of time!

...how can you afford to miss!

I'm sure I saw this at the cinema when it came out. Pretty forgettable I thought even though I was about six at the time.
/feels old

Now I MUST see it. My mind is boggling - the Hoff and a light sabre:D. I am going for the Betamax - may as well go the whole way for the ultimate 80's cheesefest!

When you watch, don't be fooled by the inferior Hoff "Clone" that seems to be in much of the Movie. My wife and I were like "Is that him"??? Which it was'nt.

It's an awesomely terrible film though. I think my favorite bit has to be the; One second they are fighting in some building the very next frame Mrs Munro is jogging down some canal bank....worst ...bit...of...editing.....ever......

And their "Darth Vader" looks like Gene Simmons's Dad or somat.

If you like em' cheezy though, you will probably fall in love with it. It is the strongest of cheeses. Makes Gil GerarRAB Buck Rogers Disco Buck-Fu action look like FightClub.

Oh, and the physics of deep space? Hahaha, I recall broken windows on the bridge of some ship (That soldiers were shot through in torpedos), not having any affect on the internal environment. Great stuff!
