Hello there everyone,
I have recently decided that I'd really like to try out Star Wars the Old Republic (which came out only a few weeks ago at this point,) and just have a quick question about the processor. The minimum system requirements for the game state that either an AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual-Core 4000+, or Intel Core 2 Duo 2.0GHz is needed to play it. I recognize that both of these processors are dual core, however, with the single core processor that I have on my computer, I have been able to run World of Warcraft on high detail without any problems whatsoever. What I noticed is that when observing my computers hardware, under the category "processors," I see TWO Intel (R) Pentium (R) 4 CPU 3.20 GHz processors listed together. Though I do not technically have a dual processor, is it possible that the game could still run successfully without harming my computer?
Is it the "dual processor" itself that makes the difference, or the GHz each processor has? If the GHz is the difference, it seems to me that 3.20 GHz for each processor the computer already has is enough?
Any insightful information would be so very much appreciated, and God Bless.
Note: My computer meets all of the other system requirements except the "dual" processor
