Star Wars prequel Sith Question?????

Is the word SITH ever defined in the prequels!!!!!!!!!!!??????? i guess it means dark jedi or fallen jedi, but it became a common word even though i think it has never been defined in the dialogue
NOOOOOOOO! I know what a sith is, but i want to know if the movies actually deliberately tell us
