Star Wars Boxset 1-6

It doesn't seem necessary as the case is only a slight bit smaller than the september 2004 version and without the special features. It will probably be the same price as the september version too and of course, if someone asks for the Star Wars trilogy then they may want this or the other and get the wrong one. I really think they could have just stuck with the original DVD release and released a prequel box set with some changes such as the digital Yoda (he looks so awesome on the revenge of the sith bonus disc) and alter certain Jar Jar parts.
 
I wouldn't exoect anything to be announced for at least a year.

My guess is the 1-6 boxset will be released on the 30th anniversary of when Star Wars first hit cinemas. It could also concide with the release date of the first film.

There was talk of the 3D versions for 2007 although personally I just see the saga released to cinemas again, with the 3RAB coming at a later date.
 
I'm guessing your meaning the boxset which was released last September.

This one that comes out in December is basically the same as that, but with a new box and no special features disk.

Theres also the prequel boxset which is out at the same time I believe. It contains the 3 movies in a boxset form. No changes or anything have been added.
 
so no idea of when a 1-6 boxset will be out!
might just have to get the 1st boxset and the new 1-3 when thats out if it is going to be years for a 1-6 to be realeased
 
Yep - you'd have to be mad to get this 'new' set over the older one. As someone says above, I pity whoever receives this set as a christmas present.
 
Oh, I dunno. I have come to the conclusion that Extras disc are mostly a waste of time. If the new set is considerably cheaper then why not go for it. A lot of the Star Wars extras have already been broadcast on TV anyway.
 
True but at this time the original DVD release from last year will be more or less the same price as this newer one.
