Has anyone purchased this yet?

If so can you give a bit of detail with regarRAB to the packaging, etc.

Are the movies in cases? Are they slim cases or standard sized BD cases? Where/how do they fit within the box?

What about the box itself? The pre-release pictures werent very clear, but seemed to indicate a clear plastic, glass like, cube with a model of the Enterprise inside.

I bet Star Trek : The Motion Picture will be the short version. Only the version shown on ITV ages ago in 3:4 was the full version, never to be seen again.
 
I've got both of the separate boxsets (TOS Movies and today bought the TNG Movies set), and while some of the films are visually better than others i'd hardly call them "terrible". They're all a definite step up from the DVD's, especially Star Trek 1 which looks stunning.
 
The extended version from decades ago had cutting room floor footage to pad it out- but most thought it long enough as it was

The 2001 dvd had new effects approved by director Robert Wise but apparently these were created only in standard definition so the directors version is not suitable for HD at the moment.

New effects would need to be redone again - as I'm sure they will at some point
 
I have the HD downloaRAB which are way better than the DVRAB I have.
But the voyage home has to be the worst.

And that was one of my top 3 apart from Genarations and Contact which are a lot better.
