6-25-10 I had a balloon sinus surgery/procedure to open passages/reduce turbinates and shave off a polyp. Everything went well, however, my doc found a "fungal ball".......or so he thought. It turned out to be staph.
After taking the post-surgery standard regimen of antibiotics, I now have another infection. Doc suspects that I have a staph colonization.
Anyone have experience? I am on a ten day regimen of Avalox, waiting for inus culture to come back to confirm that it's staph.
