I got my baby girl yesterday! I am not planning on showing her, but I am very interested in learning more about showing Standand Poodles (eventually) and thought I would get a little practice on grooming with her before I invest in a show quality puppy. I am doing as much research online as I can but most info is on maintenance of an adult dogs coat who is already grown out and ready to go. She is only 8 weeks old, how do I prepare her coat through out the next year beyond good nutrition & puppy cuts every 6 weeks? Also Ive got the general concept of banding and wrapping, but when do I start this? And how long are they left on? Theres not very much information on this but it seems necessary.
