I am a 14 year old girl in track, and I'm interested in sprinting. I am already athletic, but I want to get better, because there are definitely many who are better than me. I really want to improve my sprinting times, especially for 100m and 200m. So I'd appreciate any help, tips, and answers to some of my questions! Thanks so much!!
-I have been researching. and I hear perfect form is vital for sprinters. Any advice? Or websites that you know are trustable?
-Exercises that can help me that I can do on my own (like after track practice/weekends)? Please keep in mind that I live in a snowy area. Even 3/4 of our track is covered in snow!
-How often should I train/exercise/run/etc.? Like every day? One day break? For how long after our 1.5 hr track practice at school?
-I found QUITE a controversy about how you should breathe. Many I saw, said the best/quickest way to breathe is through your mouth. However, many also said through the nose is best and more efficient. Then some say breathing threw your nose is too slow and uses too much energy. So I reaaaally have no idea what to think about for this subject....:/
-anything good to do at home? hmm like situps, stretches , etc.
-any other sprinting tips for middle school girls?
-or even some tips for running in general?
haha I know that's a lot of questions, but any advice will help! thanks all!!!
