Sprint to Tmobile?

Hey,
Haven't posted in a while! sad to say i have been without a blackberry for about a month, life is so not the same! LOL, anywho i'm ready to port my number from sprint to tmobile
i went all the website today and typed my number and the total came out to about 200 bucks, questions is do i still have to pay sprint to leave contract with them? my contract ends nov 1, had a one year contract with tmobile that's up in next month.

Thanks,
MDavid

Yeah you probably will have to pay the ETF. You may want to see if you can buy out of the contract (prorated etf fee). As soon as the number ports over to TMO the sprint line is cancelled and if this is prior to contract end date BAM ETF.

Thank you for responding ed! however what do you mean by "BAM ETF" early term should be 150 bucks if i'm not mistaking. also can you explain the buying out of the contract?

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~ya to leave before your contrtact is over their is an ETF always from any carrier but before you leave one carrier I would just get a new number first and make sure the service is what you really want. Then if you like it then port your number. That way if you don't like the service you can return the phone and not worry about ETF from the other carrier.

Some companies and i do not know if Sprint is one of them let you buy out of the ETF. So if you have 6 months left of a 12 month contract you would pay half the ETF $75.00 (using your ETF) so to speak.

And what i meant was "BAM" then you get an etf. ( Sorry for the Emeril Reference)
