sprint sanyo 3100 need to flash to cricket

I tried to use #228 and it said to contact sprint. The phone has been shut off for awhile. Is there anything special I need to do to switch it over to my cricket service? thank you
 
Did you mean *228 not #228? Has it been flashed to Cricket? If *228 is calling Cricket and not programming, you may need to manually program it, ##000000# and plug in your MIN/MDN and you should be good to go. If *228 is calling Sprint or ##000000# does not take you to the nam programming menu, you will need to have it flashed.
