Sprint recently introduced Sprint Spark, a combination of three LTE bands (800 MHz, 1.9 GHz and 2.5 GHz) which brings better LTE connectivity when users are switching between different bands. The carrier has now announced the availability of the Samsung Galaxy S4 with this enhanced LTE feature. Although the reach of Sprint Spark is only limited to Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York and Tampa for the time being, the carrier hopes to have over 100 million users under Sprint Spark by the end of 2014 with massive expansion plans lined up for the coming months.The Samsung Galaxy S4 with support for Sprint Spark will cost a hefty $199.99 with a two year contract for both new and existing customers with a $50 mail-in rebate. Getting it through Sprint One-Up will cost $25 per month. This is quite a lot to pay considering the prices of other smartphones which are far better equipped in terms of hardware. So I guess the customers will be paying a premium solely for Sprint Spark, which might not be that great a bargain depending on where you live.
