2003 Dodge Ram Busted Spring on Valve Head?
I own a 2003 dodge ram, 1500slt with a V8 hemi that had some repair work done within the last year to replace all of the front end lifters. The truck is back in the dealer because it practically shut down completely the other day; I spoke with the service advisor and they're telling me that some springs on the valve heads busted.
To me, it sounds like the springs busting is something the dealer is responsible for from the last service (e.g., the cam shaft wasn't seated properly.) I have a feeling just repairing the valves, won't take care of a future problem instead, a new short deck would be best? Is this a wrong estimation? Can someone suggest what I should do or not do. Thanks.
