I am just a high school student, but I recently have been very interested in Sports Medicine either Sports physician or Sports Physiology. However, when I had looked for sports medicine career paths online, most of them came up as orthopedic surgeons. I do not want to do anything with surgery, but I am interested in working with sports athletes as a physician.
I would appreciate it if someone (preferably somebody in the sports medicine field) could tell me about different jobs involving sports medicine ,that is not orthopedics or surgery, and what the job outlook is for these fields.
I also do realize you need just as much schooling to be a sports physician as any other doctor and I am okay with that. And no i dont want to be a personal trainer or that, I'm mostly interested in a higher level of sports medicine.
