This question can be for many sports, but I see it in Aussie Rules Football a lot, I just don't get why people in the crowd shout at the players and umpires and try and play coach or 3rd umpire.
Don't get me wrong, its good to be so passionate in the game and be vocal, and I can't say I haven't burst out with a few stupid comments at the game. Not to confuse it with the chanting that occurs in some sports (european soccer/football) which is excellent. The way they can all get together and sing is amazing.
But isn't continuously trying to tell the players and umpires what to do a bit of a waste of time? Its something I can never understand and is funny to watch when at the game, especially when so many do it and they are shouting from the top stands! And you can tell a lot of them get quite upset with it all. It looks stressful ( and a little crazy).
